Prior to forming Gold Coast Wealth Management, Brendan managed the assets of the two founding families at Sterling Stamos Capital Management (SSCM). While there he worked very closely with the founding families to properly allocate their capital given specified risk parameters, liquidity restraints, and tax implications among SSCM’s fund offerings which included fixed income, long-only equities, long-short equities, absolute return, private equity, and real assets. Before SSCM, Brendan worked at Bear Stearns & Co. on their equity derivatives desk in New York. His responsibilities included generating trading strategies for the equity derivative’s sales desk and facilitating equity derivative trades which included listed options, over-the-counter (OTC) options, ETF’s, and single stock hedging programs with institutional clients including hedge funds, private and public investment companies, and high net worth individuals. Brendan also worked for Goldman Sachs & Co on their equity derivatives desk prior to Bear Stearns. Prior to that he worked for Cantor Fitzgerald on their mortgage-backed trading desk.
Brendan received an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and obtained his BA with a double major in Economics and Sociology from Manhattan College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Currently, Brendan serves on the Board of Directors for the Glen Cove Boys and Girls Club in Glen Cove, NY. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children, and when he can sneak away, he still plays some golf and basketball.
